Interested in adding a personal touch to your nursery? A mobile is an effective (and easy!) way to do just that. And as an added bonus, I discovered making one is also a really great way to pass the time if you're on bed rest and have run out of things to watch on Netflix!
I decided on a woodland theme but this project lends itself to any style of nursery you have in mind- there are plenty of templates available online and lots of inspiration out there if you need ideas!
So, without further ado, let me give you the gist:
All of the pieces were made using craft store felt and stuffed with cotton balls.
I suspended the animals from an embroidery hoop using fishing line. The mountains and middle cloud are suspended from the top (connected to the ribbon that will hang from the ceiling) so that they hang in the center of the mobile.

If you choose to include clouds and want to be able to adjust their height, just put the strings through the middle of the cloud using a needle and you can slide them up or down once the mobile is hung. These strings can be attached to the embroidery hoop using small eye hooks. I suspended it all using plain white ribbon fastened to a hook in the ceiling.
That's it! A really simple and lovely way to add some charm to your little one's room.
